I received my BA at Indiana University and my MA at the University of Leipzig. I am currently writing my dissertation on Shi’i Muharram rituals.

My research interests include Object-Oriented Ontology, ritual studies, Shi’i Islam, and Islam in socialist and post-socialist societies.
